'Songs of Harry Chapin' concert benefits WhyHunger

On Saturday, Aug. 25, Satinwood will perform "The Legendary Songs of Harry Chapin" with original Chapin band members "Big John" Wallace and Howard Fields. The concert, which is a benefit for WhyHunger, will feature fully arranged favorites such as "Taxi," "Cats in the Cradle" and "Mr. Tanner." The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at The Herbert Gilman Theater, Mandell JCC, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford.
In 1975 Harry Chapin and Bill Ayres founded WhyHunger, a grassroots support organization that works with more than 8000 community-based groups to fight hunger and poverty. For more information about WhyHunger and its progams, visit www.whyhunger.org
