Wheeler Hands & Hearts Awards got to West Hartford businesses

PLAINVILLE –  Legrand and Zuzolo Financial Group at Northwestern Mutual, both of West Hartford, were among 12 organizations and individuals to receive Hands & Hearts Appreciation awards at Wheeler's third annual Hands & Hearts reception on May 23 at the agency's 91 Northwest Drive facility in Plainville. The event honors an array of business and non-profit leaders for their outstanding support of Wheeler's mission to foster positive change in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

"These organizations have created a substantial footprint here at Wheeler in a relatively short period of time," said Susan Walkama, LCSW, Wheeler's president and chief executive officer. "They have supported Wheeler's mission through corporate philanthropy and are invaluable community partners."

Additional 2013 Hands & Hearts Appreciation Award recipients include: Always Bloomin Floral Salon, Barnes Group Foundation, Inc., Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, Paul and Emmanuelle Levin, Main Street Community Foundation, McPhee Electric, Ltd., Production Fasteners, Stephen AutoMall Centre, Anna Tapay and Tollman Spring Company, Inc.
