Gengras honored at University event
WEST HARTFORD - "Imagine … the Sky's the Limit" gala celebrating women in the sciences as well as Saint Joseph College becoming the University of Saint Joseph drew more than 700 attendees to the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford recently.
E. Clayton (Skip) Gengras, Jr., CEO of Gengras Motor Cars, Inc. and a member of the University of Saint Joseph Board of Trustees was honored at the event. A silent and live auction featured special guest auctioneers Colin McEnroe, WNPR radio talk show host, and Peter Shapiro, who serves as a director of The Connecticut Bank and Trust Company.
Highlighting the evening was a musical performance by critically acclaimed Broadway stage, film and television actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, a renowned baritone, and winner of the 2000 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in Kiss Me, Kate.
