CPA Society appoints West Hartford CPAs to leadership roles
The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has announced that the following West Hartford CPAs are among those selected to serve on its 25-member Advisory Council for the 2012-2013 activity year:
Stacy Farber, CPA
Ms. Farber is a manager for BlumShapiro in West Hartford. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University and resides in Avon.
Michael D. Frenza, CPA/CFF, CFE
Mr. Frenza is a manager for BlumShapiro in West Hartford. He will represent the CTCPA Valuation, Forensic, and Litigation Support Group on the Advisory Council. He holds a B.S. in accountancy from Providence College and an M.S. in accountancy from the University of Connecticut. He resides in Bristol.
Paul J. Soler, CPA
Mr. Soler is a manager for BlumShapiro in West Hartford. He will represent the CTCPA Employee Benefit Plans Special Interest Group on the Advisory Council. He holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Connecticut and resides in West Hartford.
Jennifer Whalley, CPA
Ms. Whalley is a manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Hartford. She will represent the CTCPA State Taxation Committee on the Advisory Council. She holds an M.S. in accounting from Western New England College and a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She resides in West Hartford.
Their installation took place at the CTCPA Annual Meeting held recently at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. The Connecticut Society of CPAs is celebrating more than a century of service to membership and community alike. Formed by nine CPAs in 1908 at New Haven's Union League Club, today CTCPA has a current membership of almost 6,000 individuals in public practice, business and industry, government, and education. Its function is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide continuing education opportunities as well as a comprehensive peer review program and a variety of membership services for CPAs in Connecticut.
