Congregation P’nai Or offers unique High Holiday services

During this High Holiday season, some Jews may be longing for a place to "return to the home of your soul"   and Congregation P'nai Or offers the High Holiday services.  

P'nai Or is a rabbinic-led Jewish Renewal congregation characterized by uplifting chants, songs, meditation, and prayer. Rabbi Andrea Cohen-Kiener leads the High Holiday services in her inspiring and unique way, bringing humor as well as insight to the congregation.  

Like all Renewal congregations, services emphasize the joy of direct spiritual experience.  While creative, P'nai Or prayer style is rooted in the traditional Jewish liturgy.  A few passages may be explored in depth, to discover personally relevant insights.  The congregation also chants some short Hebrew phrases repeatedly, to open the heart. At times they sing the familiar prayers in their entirety.
