SummerWood celebrates Assisted Living Week
The Resident Art Exhibit featured photography, paintings, drawings, sculptures, needlework, and poetry. Among the participants, SummerWood resident, Mel Greenland, displayed a photograph of a stained glass light fixture he crafted, along with a New York Times editorial written about his artistic skill. Irene Rosenberg displayed a Canadian wool sweater she knitted and Bernice Veroff showcased several paintings and drawings. In addition to the exhibit, SummerWood scheduled other performing artists, a resident/staff variety show, and a culinary arts dinner in recognition of Assisted Living Week.
