Sedgewick middle schoolers run relay race in Hartford Marathon
On Saturday, Oct. 13, Craig Archambault's seventh grade health class, plus 16 Sedgwick Middle School students participated in the ING Hartford Marathon.
The race was part of the Hartford Marathon Foundation and Jeff's Running Partners Youth Running Program. Archambault ran the full 26.2 miles and the 16 middle schoolers joined him on each of the miles as part of a relay team. Archambault and the Sedgwick students finished the race together in 4 hours and 5 minutes.
As a part of the program, the students raised funds for H20 for Life. An organization that provides clean drinking water to communities around the world. The day was filled with plenty of support and could not have been made possible without the help of parent chaperone's, staff volunteers, and spectators.
