Philanthropist offers $1 million to fight hunger
The Feinstein Foundation will divide $1 million among anti-hunger agencies which raise funds between March 1 and April 30.
Contributing to the 16th annual campaign is nationally known philanthropist and humanitarian, Alan Shawn Feinstein.
Feinstein's challenge is simple: For every dollar or pound of food Gifts of Love collects from individuals in our communities throughout March and April, the Feinstein Foundation will also donate towards our Spring Campaign to End Hunger. Throughout the years, $1 million challenges by the Feinstein Foundation's have raised over $1.25 billion for over 2,000 agencies nationwide.
This has become the greatest grass roots campaign ever to fight hunger in our country. "Your donation makes you a partner in it with me," said Feinstein. "My money started this campaign but it is you will help decide how many needy people in your city or town will be fed this year."
