Emanuel Synagogue receives religious school awards
The Emanuel Synagogue Religious School received an award from The Greater Hartford
Jewish Federation Commission on Jewish Education and Leadership for its Passover Around the World Family Education Program. Each class in the school researched Passover customs
in a different part of the word and presented their findings to fellow students and their parents. They shared food, customs and special additions to the Seder.
Teacher aides Robert Lipiner, Matthew Rosenthal and Marissa Ward also received awards for their outstanding work in the classroom. These young people represent a group of more than forty dedicated teens who serve as aides in the religious school every Sunday morning.
A vibrant, egalitarian Conservative Jewish community, The Emanuel Synagogue empowers its members to seek a meaningful and robust path to Jewish values for everyday living. Our down-to-earth ambience is a welcome respite from the social pressures of suburban life. Learn more about us at www.emanuelsynagogue.org.
