Back-to-school challenge: GreenDay video contest
A $500 cash prize for best classroom video; iPad3 prize for best individual video
Farmington, Conn– Hartford County junior high and high school classes: create a video showing what you do to help the environment, and you could win a $500 cash prize for your classroom. Enter your own video as an individual participant, and you could win an iPad.!
ebm-papst Inc.'s Farmington, Conn.-based U.S. headquarters has extended to November 6 the deadline for its Every Day is a Green Day video contest and opened the contest to classes. The contest invites all middle and high school students (age 13 or above) and classes (grades 7 to 12) in Hartford County to submit brief videos demonstrating the creative ways they incorporate green practices into their lives at home and/or school.
Individual students and classroom leaders can upload their video to ebm-papst's drop box at https://www.filesanywhere.com/Dropbox/db.aspx?v=896e628758666eb771af. The videos must: Be no more than two minutes in length; Include students talking about their ideas for energy saving, recycling, conservation and green living; Include footage demonstrating at least one example of the above practices; and be a Windows Movie File (.wmv) or Quicktime format.
The videos will be judged by members of ebm-papst's executive and marketing teams. Awards will be announced on Tuesday, November 20, and the winning classroom and individual videos will be posted on ebm-papst's Faceboookpage.
The classroom that submits the most compelling green video will receive a cash prize of $500.
The individual student who submits the most compelling green video will receive a grand prize of an iPad 3 (16GB WiFi model).
The winning classes and individuals will be invited to a luncheon ceremony and tour at ebm-papst Inc.'s North American headquarters in Farmington, Conn. in late fall.
