St. Thomas the Apostle School walk-a-thon a big success
St. Thomas the Apostle School community held its first walk-a-thon "STA Sets the Pace" on Sept. 12, including more than 250 students. St. Thomas the Apostle School community walked a total of 1,610 laps, totaling 402.5 miles in just an 80-minute period. More than 30 parents and 30 staff members walked with students. St. Thomas the Apostle School received more than $14,000 in pledges and donations. All proceeds will go directly to the expansion of its newly established "Multi-Purpose Learning Center," to put the latest technology into the hands of teachers and students.
