West Hartford Kids take the stage in Aladdin
West Hartford children recently performed in production of Aladdin and his Wonderful Magical Lamp, the second production of the 2012 season for locally based Poppins Children's Theatre.
The show, set in the Arabian city of Shammar, entertained audiences with songs and dances telling the tale of Aladdin.
Poppins Children's Theatre, directed by West Hartford resident Vickie Culligan, will hold auditions for its Fall Fairytale Theatre production of Cinderella. Auditions, for children ages 8-16, are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 18-20. Auditions will consist of reading from the script and learning a song from the show and will be held at Saint James Episcopal Church, 19 Walden Street (Parish Hall stage).
