Watkinson students collect items for the needy

The Watkinson School Student Foundation collected complete Thanksgiving meals to feed 200 families this Thanksgiving.  The Food Pantry, a program of the United Methodist Church in Hartford, will distribute the food.  They are the only provider in the area that doesnt require that you already receive food stamps in order to receive aid. The students collected non-perishable Thanksgiving items as well as monetary donations to purchase turkeys for the Food Pantry.  Watkinson School is known for its service to the community as part of the schools mission; giving the students the power to shape their lives and the world around them.
