'Big Bang Event' a major success
The Zachs Family (from left Eric, Judi, Mayim Bialik, Henry and
Jessica) were honored at Hebrew High School's "Big Bang Event" recently
for their support of the school and philanthropy throughout the
Connecticut Jewish community.
The
annual scholarship fundraiser, the most successful
in the school's history,
was held at Beth El Temple
in West Hartford.
Bialik, the star of the CBS hit comedy "The Big Bang Theory" who had
starred in the 1990s TV hit series "Blossom" and earned a P.h.D. from
UCLA in neuro science, delivered
galactic magnitude with
a down to earth speech speech that mixed tidbits from her Hollywood
career, her journey to being an observant Jew and her passion of
"attachment parenting."
This year, 21 students graduated from HHNE at ceremonies at the school
on June 17. The evening was also a celebration of the dedication
to the school of Barbara Zalesch.
