Kidscard offers discounts, benefits children

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Calling all shoppers: the West Hartford Center Kidscard returns this October, giving shoppers the opportunity to support an important cause while enjoying a great discount at the most popular West Hartford Center shops and restaurants. The 2012 Kidscard allows shoppers to save 20-percent at 75 participating locations for 10 full days, October 25 to November 3. This year, 100 percent of the $50 Kidscard purchase price will go directly to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. 

"The tremendous support of the participating stores and restaurants and the community through this event each year is overwhelming," said Lauren Zeligson, Center Kidscard Committee Chairperson. "Over the last six years, Kidscard has donated $150,000 to Connecticut Children's. We hope to sell a record number of Kidscards this year and, as a result, make a significant contribution to Connecticut Children's. Each card we sell can help make a difference in a child's life."
