West Hartford 143rd to send off Norwich 248th Engineer Company

Hartford — A send-off ceremony will be held 5 p.m. Tuesday at the William A. O'Neill Armory for the 120 soldiers of the 248th Engineer Company of Norwich and 140 soldiers of the 143rd Military Police Company of West Hartford.
The 248th Engineer Company will mobilize and deploy to Bahrain and provide security and installation protection duties within the country. The 143rd will be sent to Afghanistan to work alongside the Afghan Uniformed Police.
